Our HBCU Heritage
Founded in 1912, our Nashville-based university has served more than a century worth of brilliant and aspiring students who have gone on to achieve notable achievements in their respective fields and passions.
What had started out as an agricultural and industrial state school, and then a teacher’s college, has since grown into a nationally-recognized four-year university offering 45 different bachelor’s and 24 master’s degree programs, offering academic programs through eight colleges and schools.
